Our Story
Backyard Tees was started by husband-and-wife team Braden and Ninya. We were tired of seeing the NZ market flooded with overseas T-shirt options that took ages to arrive and didn’t always live up to the hype.
So, we decided to do something about it. From our backyard beginnings, we set out to create a store where Kiwis could grab awesome graphic tees without the hassle — affordable, good quality, and locally made.
For us, it’s about more than T-shirts. It’s about keeping things close to home, supporting a local family business, and giving everyday Kiwis a store they can proudly call their own.
